I intend to unitask & be singularly focused.
WHY? I often, settle down to do something, and then my mind wanders on else that I could be doing, and I end up being distracted. This eventually, leads to poor progress in my plan, therefore, one thing at a time, & more focus. Even as I speak, I came online to distract myself from the task of reading my book. Why?! I need to relax and be less ADD :)
HOW TO HELP: Tips would be most appreciated. Love to all.

try this while you're reading: turn on your tv. turn on your radio. put a loud cd on the stereo. sit in the midst of it all and read. this is a way you can train yourself to get into a state of intense focus. (i discovered this method once when i was working with some friends on a student newspaper. i was writing an article on the computer. one of my friends was beside me, reading some beat poetry in one ear. another friend on the other side of me was reading something else into my other ear. there was loud, chaotic jazz music playing. i tuned it all out and kept hammering away and it flowed like you wouldn't believe. i must admit that in that instance, mind-altering substances were involved, but you can do it without that too. hahahahahaha!)

I like Eugene's tip. I learned to meditate while I was working in NYC. I used to read books sitting in the middle of Union Square park with the traffic and people all around. The best way to train yourself to focus is by being the calm in the middle of the storm...try it!
