I intend to...C*E*L*E*B*R*A*T*E.....Celebrate good times, come on....it's a C*E*L*E*B*R*A*T*I*O*N...Kool and the Gang
WHY? I have been working with a Women Skills Development Program in Nepal. These beautiful ladies hand dyed, hand loomed, hand wove and pedal sewing machine sewed a yoga mat bag that I designed (OVER 150) during the course of my 3 months with them AND....today, my yoga studio asked if they could try to sell some of the bags for me and encourage people to learn about this beautiful project in Nepal...well yes and yes again...I am soooo happy and they are so happy and excited to have me...what an honour!!!
HOW TO HELP: If any-one is interested I can give you direct contact with Chetana Women Skills Development Project in Pokhara Nepal...it is a non profit organization but they do take donations for building improvements, new sewing machines etc, etc and they also have a Micro Finance Program which will enable more women to work, stand on their own two feet and support their family...totally empowering and awe inspiring!!!
INSPIRATION: It is easy...Chetana Women Skills Development Program and Tara Timilshina who arrived in Pokhara 25 years ago at the age of 15 with her new husband, no shoes and not even a pot to cook in...but as she said to me.."Cathy Didi (sister) I had an idea when I was 8....she spread her wings and never looked back :-)
